There are many famous "mummy" stories connected to the use of Fisk's caskets. ( Fisk & Raymond iron coffins )

Like our "Little Cousin Willie"  story  from DC - that mummy was believed to be William White,  son of my great, great grandfather M.M. White because M.M. White was the sole proprietor of Fisk caskets in DC from 1849-1867 read lots more here

White was also famously buried First Lady, Dolly Madison and Vice President John C Calhoun in Fisk caskets.

On the afternoon of Oct. 4, 2011, a backhoe dug into an excavation pit in Elmhurst, Queens, and struck iron. Construction workers assumed they had hit a pipe. But when the claws of the backhoe emerged from the ground, it was dragging a body clothed in a white gown and knee-high socks.

Martha Peterson “She would have been 26 in 1850, probably died around 1851 and lived in the household of William Raymond, a partner in the iron-coffin maker Fisk & Raymond"
